She is a graduate of NC State and Old Dominion Universities. She provides psychotherapy to adults, children, and adolescents through individual, group and family therapy settings.

Ms. Spurlock has specialized training in domestic violence, child abuse, anger management, ADHD, divorce issues, and depression, among others. She provides a holistic approach to client struggles including more traditional forms of psychotherapy to lesser traditional but highly effective means such as energy psychology. Ms. Spurlock has a special interest in sand play therapy which she believes promotes balance and wholeness in the individual. Ms. Spurlock has specialized training in the areas of EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) for trauma issues, and DBT. She notes these tools are invaluable in assisting the development of interpersonal effectiveness and gaining control over self-destructive behaviors.
